A buggy board easily connects to most push chairs or prams. The purpose of the buggy board is so that an older child can stand on it while a younger child rides in the seat of the pram or push chair.
Styles
Pram Stroller
There are a couple of styles available that hold various weights. They are typically colorful and safe.
Many of the models that are available will hold a child up to five years of age or 60 lbs. they are a safe way to tote along a toddler with baby. Typically all the models attach to a pram or push chair that is designed to have the attachment added on, although with some modification most prams or push chairs can be made to accept the attachment.
Each model will have two to four wheels attached to the bottom of the board that make the board easily mobile. They are not able to be steered independently of the pram or push chair.
Some of the models available are made from molded heavy duty plastic with rubber wheels. These are the least expensive of the models.
Some of the models are made of metal with rubber wheels and are the most expensive.
There are models that are a combination of materials also available. These models are the most popular and the biggest sellers.
Costs
The typical costs associated are around one hundred dollars some models are a bit cheaper and some are a bit more expensive but all will be right around one hundred dollars.
There is always a possibility of finding a model used for less money. Scouring the classifieds might really pay off.
Down Side
There is also safety as a concern, the child that uses these devices need to be old enough to stand without any assistance. These items typically do not come with any safety harnesses or straps. The child is expected to hold on to the push chair or pram for stability. If the child loses their footing or is not old enough to understand the importance of hanging up the results could be an injury.
